Delete your identity and data

Identizen has no accounts, emails, or passwords. What exists is a key on your phone and a short record about that phone on the public index. Both can be removed by you, without asking anyone.

1. Remove the identity from a phone

In the app, open Settings and choose Forget this identity. The private key, recovery phrase, and activity history are erased from the phone immediately. Nothing about them was ever sent anywhere, so there is nothing else to delete for that part.

2. Revoke the phone on the index

Sign in to app.identizen.com from another device, open Devices, and revoke the phone. From that moment the phone can no longer sign in anywhere, every browser it paired is unpaired, and every session it opened is signed out. The index marks the device record as revoked rather than deleting it, so that the revocation stays effective and can be audited; step 3 removes it.

3. Delete everything yourself

In the dashboard, open Settings and choose "Delete my identity". The index removes every record tied to the identity at once: device records, paired browsers, sessions, per-site identifiers, and the audit trail. Every site where you were signed in is told to end that session. Only a note that a deletion happened remains, without your identifier. If you believe your recovery phrase leaked, tick "my recovery phrase was compromised": the same phrase can then never be enrolled again, and you start over with a new one.

If you no longer have a phone or dashboard access, use the contact form or write to privacy@identizen.com with the identifier shown on the app's Home tab (it begins with idz_). We confirm the request by sending a sign-in challenge to that identity, so only its holder can trigger it, and complete the deletion within 30 days. Hosting request logs, which contain IP addresses, expire on their own within days.

What is kept

Nothing that identifies you. After step 3 the index holds no record of the identity at all. Sites you signed in to keep whatever account they created for you under the per-site identifier; deleting that is between you and each site, since Identizen never sees it.
